Introducing the NFPA

The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) is an international organization. The company’s mission is to reduce the worldwide burden of fire and other hazards on the quality of life by providing and advocating consensus codes and standards, research, training, and education. Our NFPA curriculum meets Ministry of Labour Legislative Compliance requirements.

Our Awareness Programs

This level of qualification primarily addresses site hazards and safety.

These courses are designed for all emergency service personnel who respond, or may respond, to a rescue incident and participate in an indirect rescue support role. The awareness level of qualification is a pre-requisite for additional training and certification.

Our Operations Programs

This level of qualification expands on scene size-up, site hazards and safety. The operations level of training provides an Operations certificate.

This curriculum is designed for all emergency service personnel who respond, or may respond, to a rescue incident and participate in direct rescue operations. Allocated course delivery time allows for a customizing to your specific agency response requirements which may include site assessments and pre-planning, team-building and communication, and the use of specialized adjunctive rescue equipment. The Operations level of qualification is a pre-requisite for the Technician level training and certification.

Our Technician Programs

This level of qualification targets all emergency service personnel who respond to a rescue incident and participate in direct rescue operations as a technical advisor or member of a Technical Rescue Team.

These personnel are qualified to conduct the overall scene operation and plan/execute rescue site activities. Allocated course delivery time allows for a customizing to your specific agency response requirements which may include site assessments and pre-planning, team-building and communication, and the use of specialized adjunctive rescue equipment.

Instructor Development Programs

Our instructor certification and development programs are designed specifically for emergency service authorities, and their personnel, having direct legislative responsibility for emergency preparedness and rescue within their jurisdiction.

Allocated course delivery time enables a customizing of your specific agency response requirements which may include jurisdictional site assessments and pre-planning, hazard identification risk assessments, the integration of pertinent federal, provincial and municipal standards and laws, operational guidelines and policy, and the use of specialized adjunctive rescue equipment.

These programs are only available to active emergency service personnel through their emergency service agency.
