The Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Confined Spaces Regulation (O. Reg. 632/05) requires, in-part, that any employer and supervisor ensures all workers are properly trained in the use of protective equipment.

Designed specifically for staff that perform attendant, entry and on-site supervisory duties in and around confined spaces, this 1-day course is classroom based and explores the proper and correct use of a multi-gas monitor.

The participant will review common gases and their characteristics used to calibrate a multi-gas monitor and will utilize the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Guide along with conversion factor tables to research and calculate the physical properties, hazards and mitigation strategies of respective gases.
